scrapbooking classes

I'm teaching two classes Scrapabout Australia this Saturday, 25 November. I believe there are a couple of places left in each class. Call Leanne at Scrapabout on 9630 7450 for more details.

KI Memories Trendy Tin class:

Saturday 25 November from 11.00am to 1.00pm $20.00 per person includes class notes and templates (materials not included)

This is an album in a tin, with lots of flip out pages on which to fit lots of small photos. Here's some sneak peeks of the two samples (blue or pink products available):

Looking forward to my day out at Scrapabout next Saturday.

These are my last classes for this year. I will be back with more classes in 2007.

Thanks for visiting.

thank you and my maya road dt entry

Oh, my goodness. Thank you to everyone who has left such lovely comments and who have emailed me about my last post. I am truly surprised by everyone's good wishes. Thank you so much.

My Maya Road design team entry is below. I used a Maya Road binder book, with some Maya Road fresh chipboard shapes, some new Paper Salon rub-ons (the words which feature on the pages), Paper Salon All Stitched Up papers on the cover, with Heidi Swapp chipboard letters and Doodlebug letter stickers for the title. The last double page has the journalling for the photos, which I have not yet photographed.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog, for reading, for commenting. It is really appreciated.

Hope you are all having a good weekend.

Maya Road Design Team

I am SOOOO excited.

I received a call from Deborah at Maya Road asking me to join the design team {which I accepted, once I caught my breath}. To make it to the final 13 last week was just fabulous. To be asked to join the team for 2007 is amazing. Thank you to the girls at Maya Road for including me in such a great team.

I can't stop smiling! I am so excited.

Thanks for dropping by.

scrapbooking layout

Here's a layout documenting new love which has entered my life over the last year, my Palm PDA.

Also, I created three little embellishments for the one product three ways section, using s.e.i. kaboom frames/stickers.

Have a great day!

another week in review...

Well, here we are. Another catch up from the week before.

Paul and I finally went out for dinner last night to celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary {which was actually last week, but I had a date with Elsie and my scrapbooking friends last Saturday :-)) }. We went to Food and Plonk, a gorgeous restaurant with friendly staff and delicious food. We have been there before and always enjoy our evening. I had an orange and white chocolate bavarois for dessert with a citrus salad - it was delicious.

The end of the week saw the finalists of the Maya Road DT competition announced. I am still so excited to be included in the list of the 13 finalists. Not sure if I can share my entry, but I will some time soon. The six design team members will be announced early next week.

It was great to see a few Aussies as winners in the Paper Salon Pub Call competition. Congratulations to Shirley C, Chris M, Rach G and Jaimie E.

I accompanied Phoebe's class on an excursion to Flat Rock Gully. This is my third time to go on this excursion (once with Emily's class when she was in year 2, and last year with Phoebe's composite class) and I always enjoy it. This area is beautiful and is in the middle of suburbia, just down the road from where we live. The education officers who guide the groups from the council are just so passionate about this area.

Phoebe knocked her head against another boy's head during their cricket training this week. {And we thought cricket was a non-contact sport.} Anyway her cheek was really sore and swollen, and still sore the following day, so off we went to the doctor. She had a possible fracture in the cheek bone, so we were then off to the radiologist for a CT scan of her head. She was so brave having the CT scan. Thankfully there is no fracture, just a bit of bruising and a lump on her cheek. And, as a bonus, she now has some great "pictures" of her head!

And lastly. I had to do one of the hardest things, as mother, this week. I took Phoebe to the funeral of one of her classmates who tragically died the week before. The funeral was a beautiful celebration of this little person's life.

Thanks for visiting.

scrapbooking class : wed 8 nov 2006

My next class over at Scrapabout Australia is next Wednesday.

In this class you will have the opportunity to create two single page layouts while learning a few tricks and techniques for using the fabulously bright and happy Paper Salon All Stitched Up product range.

Papersalon1_1 Papersalon3 Papersalon2

Papersalon4_1 Papersalon5

The two layouts are photo focused and my samples, which can be seen at Scrapabout, feature photos of our pets. These products and the pages would be great for party pages, girly pages... any theme really that would suit bright and happy pages.

Class details:

Wednesday 8 November 2006

7.00pm to 9.00pm

If you would like to book into the class please ring Scrapabout on (02) 96307450.

Just a reminder about the KI Memories Trendy Tins class on Saturday 25 November. If you are interested in booking into this class, please let Leanne know sooner rather than later. She will be ordering the tins and matching papers/products to order (you can choose your colour scheme). Below are some sneak peeks of the blue tin. There is also a pink tin sample in store.
